Once again we’ll be participating in the City of Kentwood’s 4th of July parade. Come watch our robots partake in the parade.
Tonight at EKHS we’ll be decorating our parade float and getting all of our batteries charged. Feel free to stop by and give us a hand.
Just ran across ftcstats.org and they ranked all of the teams that attended Worlds and their overall rank.
Red Storm White is listed in Rank 236 out of the 256 teams that attended Worlds.
FTC Stats also has details for other events, so feel free to check them out.
Also, there are some nice team pages (Kinda like The Blue Alliance for FRC) at ftcroot.com. Many thanks to the ChaosMonkeyz 11090 for hosting such a site.
We’ve just relaunched our YouTube channel. Come visit us there and please subscribe.
We’ll be uploading our old videos that we had on another channel as well as those hosted by Mentor Dennis.
We’re also looking at using our Google+ page, so feel free to circle us there.

For the first time in our team history we’ve got an invite to attend the FIRST World Championship!
We’ll be there from April 26th through April 29th with our FTC Team 5292!
For the third time in our team history, we’ve been able to qualify for the Michigan State Championship. This marks the second time we’ve actually been able to attend.
At the Michigan State Championship we were seeded into the DTE Energy Foundation Division. In qualification play, we finished in rank 14 with a record of 5 wins, 6 losses and 1 tie.
We were the second pick of the 7th alliance, captained by The Power Chargers, Team 894. Our other alliance partner was the Robostangs, Team 548. Sadly we lost to the 2nd alliance in the quarterfinals.
On Wednesday a small “strike force” of Red Storm Team members and mentors will head to Saginaw Valley State University to set up our Pit and get ready for competition.
Thanks to our performance at Lakeview and a good showing at Kentwood we have qualified for the Michigan State Championships. There we will compete with our Robot and also for Chairman’s.
Good luck Red Storm Robotics, may we do well enough to earn a slot to Worlds to join our FTC Team there.
This year we hosted our 3rd FIRST Robotics Competition District Event. It was one of the best running ones yet. Thanks to everyone on the planning committee and all of the volunteers who helped make this event hum along.
We were featured in a few news outlets, M-live had an article. Fox 17 has some coverage. We were also featured on the front page of the local Advance.
After qualification our team was ranked 25th among some pretty heavy competition. We were then selected as the 2nd pick of the 8th alliance. Unfortunately we were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the eventual event winners, That One Team, Stryke Force and The Iron Giants.
