The 2010-2011 season was an exciting time for us because it marked the start of our team. It was very hectic because we weren’t sure how to get started; however, we pulled through and managed to qualify for state. Although we were very busy, we had a lot of fun, making friends with each other and bonding outside of practice. Competitions brought us together because we wanted to succeed, and we worked towards it together. It was an amazing experience for all of us.

The premise of that year’s game, “LogoMotion”, was to place inflatable tubes on a rack to score points. The first 15 seconds were autonomous (robot isn’t controlled by drivers), and involved putting yellow “UberTubes” on the rack. The majority of the game consisted of putting triange, circle, and square tubes representing the FIRST logo on the rack. Finally, with 10 seconds to go, the robots released their Minibots; small autonomous robots that raced to the top of poles for a point bonus! The 3-team Alliance with the most points won.
